Children compare 19th century celebrations with the holiday traditions families enjoy today, and everyone helps decorate a Yuletide tree together. The program is designed for ages 5 to 12, and it lands during winter break, which makes it an easy afternoon outing downtown. It is free, and the Children's Center has plenty of books on holiday history and traditions to borrow afterward. The same Victorian Yuletide program also visits the Frederick Douglass Community Library on December 21.
