Little and big explorers meet festive elves and discover magical spaces as they make their way through the castle towards a special meeting with Santa. Every child gets a Christmas hat, name badge and map for the adventure.
After Santa, children take a special token to the Teddy Bear Workshop, where they personalise their own teddy to bring home. Families can add a personalised invitation pack posted in a red envelope, and there is optional face painting, treats, activity packs and professional photos. Tickets start at €37.50 for children, €16.50 for adults and €12.50 for babies up to 13 months, who must be booked with another ticket.

From 7pm a festive procession produced by LUXE, with illuminated characters, live music and street performers, sets off from Brown Thomas and travels along O'Connell Street to the junction with Lower Glentworth Street.
There, a specially built stage hosts live entertainment and special guests before the city's Christmas lights are switched on at about 8.30pm, followed by a musical finale and a pyrotechnic display. The event is free and needs no booking. ASD Ireland and the council are providing an autism-friendly area with a mobile sensory unit and a covered wheelchair-accessible area on Glentworth Street, with registration details on the event page.
