The 2019 tree reached 193 feet, up from 186 the year before, and about 40,000 people came to the lighting on December 1, the first day of Advent.

That tree had ten layers for the city's development plan and lights that blink in three colors for Tagum's Lumad, Christian and Muslim communities. Twenty-three small stars stood for the 23 barangays.
